Abstract

The concept of thresholds has been mentioned in the transport choice literature. Few studies of mode choice have however attempted to incorporate them into a modelling context. The concept of minimally perceived attribute differences into mode choice models is introduced. For estimating the par- ameters of the model maximum likelihood is employed and an experimental test is carried out on a sample of people making trips to Melbourne CBD.
