Abstract

An investigation to determine the excess fuel costs of delay times which arise at roundabouts is described. Measurements were made using three representative passenger cars. From the results obtained, the extra fuel costs, based on 1972 prices, are shown to be small compared with the delay time costs, whereas costs based on 1974 fuel prices are comparable with the time costs.
