Abstract

This report reviews the literature from German speaking countries dealing with the relationship between individual differences and accident liability. The main aim was to assess the empirical evidence concerning the reliability and validity of the measures and procedures that have been used in this area. The report also describes the diagnostic and selection procedures used for drivers in Germany and Austria, since these provide an essential background for evaluating the literature on individual differences.
