Abstract

An invention is described which relates to restraint systems for vehicle occupants and in particular to restraint systems which automatically inflate upon impact or collision. The restraint system includes lap and shoulder harnesses which resemble conventional restraint systems in their uninflated state. It includes means for minimizing forward whiplash of the head.
