Abstract

This research is based on three earlier reports on the force at shoulder level of belted occupants in frontal collisions and is also based on data acquired from observing force limiting devices fitted in Peugeot-Renault 3-point static belts. Stress is laid on those shoulder force thresholds where the first thoracic fracture appears according to age.
