Abstract

This study (supported by the Finnish Foundation for Alcohol Studies) is concerned with the influence of moderate amounts of alcohol on the detection of visual signals, and specifically with the question whether alcohol differentially affects the detection of signals in different locations of the visual field. Therefore 6 subjects had 6 perform 12 times each a signal detection task lasting 40 minutes in parallel with a simple tracking task. The results are discussed.
