Abstract

Statistics show an increase in accidents when driving on wet roads. Rainwater should therefore be removed as quickly as possible from road surfaces either by means of a marked geometric roughness or by cants. A drainometer which is an apparatus to study the behaviour of water in the tire-road interface is described.
