Abstract

New applications of information and communication technologies (ICT) influence society in many areas, including personal mobility. This study concentrates on the long term effects of the "information society" on transportation. As part of the study, extensive new fieldwork has been carried out. Aside from a literature survey, the study comprises sub-projects, in order to fill the most important gaps in current knowledge.
