Abstract

Tinted windshields do not influence night vision, if the transmission maximum is situated near to the maximum sensitivity of the eye for night vision and if the spectral energy distribution of the headlight also has its maximum at the same wavelength. The influence of stray light for green tinted windshields as described above is less important than the influence for clear glass.
