Abstract

For the interpretation of traffic flow by the entrance into street tunnels it is necessary to include (due to different lighting conditions outside and inside the tunnel) measured technical lighting factors in addition to street geometry, speed, lane and distance between vehicles. In order to estimate the influence of these different parameters on the traffic flow, cross sectional measurements (lane and distance between vehicles) and segmental measurements (speed, lighting conditions) were carried out.
