Abstract

One of the fundamental principles of the composite material reinforced concrete is the bond of the reinforcing steel to the concrete. It determines the cracking behaviour of reinforced concrete, the deflection behaviour in the cracked stage, and the anchorage of the reinforced steel. There is, however, little known of the bond behaviour under impact loading conditions. This thesis comprises an experimental and a numerical part to study the influence on bond of concrete quality.
