Abstract

The investigations intend to show in which respect the mechanical description of the car and the mathematical approximation of the tyre behaviour affect the theoretical simulation of the vehicle performance. The vehicle behaviour along a given trajectory consisting of a straight track, a transient spiral and a part with a constant curvature is considered.
