Abstract

The effects of telematic applications on the mobility of people are discussed. There are considerable expectations of these effects, but only little empirical evidence until now. The background behind these hypotheses, related to mobility, is discussed. Firstly, effects can be expected because telematic activities influence the individual planning of activities in time and space. Secondly, telematic application will influence the supply of urban functions, in time and space. (A)
