Abstract
TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2150 includes 15 papers that explore performance-based road maintenance contracts, equipment replacement at state departments of transportation, optimal timing and preventive maintenance of pavements, pavement preservation, and thin surface treatments for bituminous pavements. This issue of the TRR also examines chip seals, hot-poured crack sealants, structural health monitoring of bridges and tunnels, fiber-reinforced polymer systems in concrete, fiber-reinforced polymer pile repair incorporating cathodic protection, and the failure and repair of a deck closure pour on Interstate 81.
