Abstract

Orbital motorways have a strong impact on the relative accessibility of locations in urban networks. This paper gives a concise review of studies in this field. In addition, a case study is presented with results for the Amsterdam orbital motorway which was completed in 1990. Special attention is paid to impacts on both office rents, and responses of firms with respect to the benefits they received due to the completion of the orbital motorway. (A)
