Abstract

Publicity activities in the framework of the modified speed limits on motorways per May 1, 1988 are analysed. The contents of these activities were tested to the drafted publicity strategies and to more general principles of publicity techniques. In particular the limited use of the mass media and the law intensity of the activities have been the main obstacles for the effectiveness of the publicity. Besides an inventory is made of the effects of uncontrolled publicity on speed limits.
