Abstract

Injuries, the leading cause of death for more than half the span of human life, can be greatly reduced in frequency, severity and sequelae. Cause and injury and preventive strategies; human facters; high risk groups; transportation injuries; product related injuries; home injuries; recreational injuries and occupational injuries are briefly considered.
