Abstract

A specific analysis is described of the injuries received by 389 fatally-injured occupants of cars. The more common injuries among the fatalities were fractures of the skull, facial bones, chest, and thigh, haemothorax, and damage to the brain, lungs, aorta, spleen and liver. The injuries of fatally-injured occupants with and without seat-belts are compared and the results are presented.
