Abstract

Continuing with the development of the Smart RRS Project, IDIADA Automotive Technology hosted the First Smart Road Restraint Systems Project Workshop. The event took place in IDIADA Automotive Technology’s facilities located south of Barcelona, Spain in the province of Tarragona on the 12th of May, 2010. The event was attended by a number of representatives from the consortium and invitees from other parties and groups interested in the project activities. The workshop covered diverse topics related to the motorcycle accident characteristics, the state of the art of the road restraint systems and their related legislations and also the development of the Smart RRS project, the objectives and the work done so far. This workshop is framed inside work package 7, related to the dissemination activities. (Author/publisher)
