Abstract

This report deals with research conducted to provide information that can be used to improve training of men having widely differing aptitudes. The research involved (1) a series of laboratory studies using systematic manipulation of learning variables, and (2) a strategy of optimization applied in an operational setting thereby testing out promising guidelines.
