Abstract

This study of insurance claims made in 1985 on the RACV General Insurance Pty. Ltd. was undertaken to ascertain whether insurance data could be used to determine the number and location of property damage accidents, the characteristics of these accidents and whether property damage accidents could be used as an earlier indication of hazardous road locations. The study compared this information with that available for casualty accidents.
