Abstract

The IPCS (Integrated Project Control System) will ensure the safe, efficient flow of vehicular traffic through the Central Artery Tunnel (CA/T) roadways, and provide support for effectively operating and maintaining all CA/T facilities, including buildings and tunnels. This will be accomplished through a surveillance, control, and data acquisition system to remotely monitor and control traffic, ventilation, power, drainage, lighting, access, fire, and radio. IPCS construction commenced in April 1994. (A)
