Abstract

This paper presents the final results of the European 4th Framework Programme project INTACT. The INTACT project has resulted in the development of a conceptual information model as well as the development and implementation of 10 working interfaces in the field of telematics applications at the homebase of transport companies. Where conceptual models normally are difficult to understand for non-technical persons, INTACT has developed a more accessible interactive version of the model, which is available on the internet. The interfaces which have been developed within the project have been evaluated, and the results of this evaluation are presented in this paper. Most interfaces had to cope with technical and organisational problems, but in the end most interfaces resulted in a positive benefit/cost ratio. For one case this paper presents the detailed results.
