Abstract

The paper describes the integrated traffic management system used at Trafik Stockholm. It deploys a unique level of system integration. All equipment and information systems are controlled thru one event handling system with only one point of data entry and retrieval. All information is harmonized to act as one source for all different information channels. The decision support selects appropriate action plans to handle both traffic- and technical events. The same actions are taken as response to a certain eventno matter who handles it. New developments are introduced twice yearly, during 2009 a bridge control system and short-time queue predictions. Plansare also made to make this a nationwide system and introduce it in the three other TMC in Sweden.
