Abstract

Highway planning offers many challenges and opportunities to utilize computer applications in an integrated public consultation, planning and environmental impact assessment process. Computer technology facilitates the assembly and analysis of information and permits a high level of automation for a traceable planning process. This paper generalizes and describes the approach and illustrates it based on a "real live" application to the transportation planning study. (A)
