Abstract

The PHOEBUS-project defined a functional scheme as a basis for future Vehicle Scheduling Control systems. This scheme also allows integration of new public transport products such as Demand Responsive Services with other Telematica Applications. This paper presents this approach and indicates future issues relevant to open, transparent and modular systems. Special attention is given to functional integration of systems.
