Abstract

Integration of Payment Systems is emerging as a key implementation issue in paying for transport services. More and more payment systems to support Automatic Fee Collection are being built or planned. Payment systems for different services, operated by different operators, using different payment methods call for a cost-effective, secure and fraud-proof way to interconnect them. This should result in a transparent payment system from the user point of view. Integration of Payment Systems addresses many technical, financial, organisational and political issues. This report describes the contributions made by the DRIVE/ATT project ADEPT.
