Abstract

This paper was presented at the `Effective Public Consultation in Transportation Planning' session. This paper proposes, describes and tests, through an actual case study, a method for the integration of public consultation and computer applications in transportation planning. Participation between professionals and citizens in the total planning process is found satisfactory, hence the computer method becomes a very helpful tool in providing better output information. A substantial amount of information can be made available in a more understandable form through application of color composition. (A)
