Abstract

This paper discusses the technical aspects and platform of the Services for Intelligent Public Transport Systems (SIPTS) project which is being completed as part of a European Commission sponsored domain Trans-European Telecommunication Networks (TEN-TELECOM). The concept of SIPTS is reviewed with general user needs. A Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) was introduced. System archtecture development and technical solutions of different components and clusters are described. Descriptions of the benefits achieved by the implemented technolog are given.
