Abstract

Transportation Research Record 1800 covers the intertechnology effects in intelligent transportation systems, a genetic algorithm-based optimization approach and generic tool for calibrating traffic microscopic simulation parameters, transmitted bandwidth and bit error probability of safety warning systems, functional requirements for an in-vehicle dilemma zone warning system at signalized intersections, and the effects of adaptive cruise control systems on highway traffic flow capacity. The papers contained in this volume were among those presented at the 81th Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board in January 2002. For abstracts of the individual papers see C 28453 - C 28464.
