Abstract

Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board 1826 examines the potential for high-tech, time-efficient methods of highway travel, including an assessment of an advanced traveler information system in Washington, D.C., and an evaluation of the California plan for statewide Intelligent Transportation Systems. This issue also explores the tracking of anonymous vehicles for real-time traffic surveillance and performance, and the development of an in-vehicle dilemma zone warning system. The papers contained in this volume were among those presented at the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board in January 2003. For abstracts of some of the papers see C 31964 - C 31971.
