Abstract

European regionalization has reached the Euro Arctic. Combining different parts of the Barents region by suitable transport links could be an "engine" for positive future development. The cooperation between different nations represented in the region is spread to the analytical transport research, the construction of new roads, and the practical operating work and management systems as well. Certainly there are differences between the Scandinavian countries and Russia in requirements, practice and strategies for the improvement of road safety. This paper seeks to analyse how different management road safety systems interact within the international Barents. The paper consists of this abstract.
