Abstract

The Norwegian National Behaviour Analyses Laboratory at NTNU/SINTEF has a driving simulator as a main part of the laboratory. The driving simulator consists of both a car and a truck simulator. Heavy emphasis is put into making sure that the simulator gives the driver a realistic feeling of driving. NTNU/SINTEF is now carrying out a project to develop new possibilities for the simulator. The goal for the project is to better describe real road network and real traffic conditions by combining the driving simulator with a road model, a terrain model and a traffic simulation model.
