Abstract

Results of a study of a interchange development patterns on interstate highways in South Carolina. Data obtained at 131 interchanges were used to examine the relationships between the number of service stations, restaurants, motels, and non-highway-oriented business located at interchanges and five interchange characteristics. Results of study will provide a method of planning interchanges that not yet been fully developed.
