Abstract

To provide a logical summary of the relationship between interchange design features and traffic safety, the following major topics are analyzed: structure, ramp, entrance terminal, exit terminal, weaving area, and lane addition and drop. These topics describe distinct accident locations and represent unique design elements of interchanges.
