Abstract

A comprehensive model TOPAZ (Technique for Optimal Placement of Activities in Zones) which integrates land use allocation and transportation analysis is presented. The basis formulation and structure of the model and submodels and recent extensions are described. Several studies of the integration of land use and transportation planning including the determination and evaluation of both land use patterns and transportation networks are discussed.
