Abstract
The basic aim of these interim guidelines is to set out concisely the technical factors involved in the specification, mixing, laying, compaction and quality control of wet-mix macadam, based on the best information currently available. The guidelines supplement the specification for wet-mix macadam in the specification for road works published by the department of the environment and outline the factors which must be taken into account to ensure that the requirements of that specification are met.
