An international comparison of pedestrian risk in four cities.

Abstract

Levels of pedestrian risk in four cities are compared. A consistent pattern in the distribution of risk over different sections of road in the cities was found. The influence on risk of different types of crossing facility, both in isolation and in conjunction with adjacent sections of road, has also been examined, and similar results found in the four cities.
