Abstract

An analysis is presented to interpret the response measurements made with a child dummy used to evaluate child injury potential of the second generation air bag system of General Motors Corporation. Anesthetizised animals and a specially instrumented child dummy were exposed to similar simulated collision environments. The animal injury severity ratings are paired to the dummy response values.
