Abstract

In 1985 changes were made in the administrative classification of roads in Poland. As a result, the length of roads financed by the state central budget decreased considerably. Priority was given to the improvement of inter- regional roads. The length of motorway sections in the inter- regional links will increase from 203 kms in 1985 to 250 kms in 1990. A multicriteria analysis was used to evaluate the road network operation before and after improvements.
