Intra-cranial injuries associated with unconsciousness in two-wheeler accidents.

Abstract

In France, in traffic accidents one fourth of fatalities and one third of severe injured are two-wheelers. Head injuries are the most severe and constitute the major cause of death. This paper analyses 39 cases of traumatic coma subsequent to two-wheel accidents; 20 two-wheelers were helmeted and 19 were not.
