Abstract
Types of portable traffic signals, their power sources and control systems are described. For their use, such factors as transport authority approval, positioning, visibility of the signal, positioning of the 'wait here' sign, the preference for vehicle actuated systems, setting up of the signals, adjustment of timers, and trouble-shooting.
