In this project, a Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) method is developed for prioritisation of small investment projects for improving rail transport in the Netherlands. An attempt is made to develop a method, which is both objective and clear-cut and can be applied easily. Also, the method is consistent with current methods for evaluation and prioritisation. Special problems are that there is little information about these projects, and that the projects are intended to improve both freight and passenger transport. A manual is included in order to apply the method correctly. This method was developed for Railned and NS Railinfrabeheer (Netherlands Railways Rail Infrastructure). (A)
