Abstract

End cover separation and shear crack debond are the two most critical debonding modes in beams retrofitted with FRP due the brittle nature of the failures. Testing shows that the former fails in the form of concrete teeth between shear crack locations while the latter is due to the opening of those inclined cracks. The experimental result is then used, together with other previous tested beams in literature, to verify various available theoretical models.
