Abstract

The effective intensity of flashing point sources was examined, both at threshold and supra-threshold illuminance levels and against different background luminances. Result obtained would seem to indicate that increases in the duration of flashing signal lights beyond 200 msec. Will probably not provide much in the way of increased conspicuity of the light.
