An investigation of factors affecting driver alertness.

Abstract

The study presents a literature review which is concerned with driver alertness, and an investigation to the effects of three variables on driver performance. These variables are driving time, acoustic noise, and task complexity. The results ot the study are discussed, and suggestions are made for further research on methods of alleviating the effects of reduced alertness.
