Abstract

Skateboards and motor cars have some similarities. Unfortunately a skateboard has none of the car's inbuilt safety features and minor falls do produce serious injuries. The riding of skateboards on any public road, pavement or precinct should be made illegal, unless the place is designated and protected for skateboarding. To make this enforceable alternative provision for skateboarding must exist.
