Abstract
ECMT has published two previous reports on Investment in Transport Infrastructures in 1988 and 1992. This 1999 survey includes many new Member countries and the report contains statistical information from all the 18 old members, and from 11 of the new Members. Volume One of the report includes discussion of transport development and the environment, total investment in transport infrastructure, distribution of investment among transport modes, investment in combined-multimodal transport, expenditure on maintenance, and capital values. Volume 2 contains the country studies and national reports and tables.E
