Abstract

This paper describes the application of modern computer and network technology to enable the transmission of video, audio and plant data in IP format over a common Ethernet network together with integration of this data using advanced processing, storage and presentation techniques. It also explains how this advanced integrated systems approach can be used to implement high integrity, cost effective and operationally cohesive solutions forroad, rail and airport infrastructure projects.
