Abstract
The implications of applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Performance Standards and other provisions relating to defects of notification and corrective recall campaigns are discussed. Bureau action is taken in the following areas: manufacturer's certification, defects review, the repair and "aftermarket", and the responsibility of the parts manufacturer.
